Skagit Spinners
We are a group of handspinning enthusiasts with a long history of meeting to support and encourage each other, share our spinning expertise, and learn new skills. Sometimes we have a short program, but there are no dues, officers, or business meetings. Periodically we sponsor workshops conducted by members and guest instructors.
We welcome both new and experienced spinners although we highly encourage new spinners to take a class where they will get dedicated attention and learn good foundational spinning skills.
We usually meet on the 2nd Monday morning of each month at the Mount Vernon Senior Center, 1401 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon. The Third Thursday Camano Library evening spinners will start meeting at Stilly River Yarns in Stanwood starting in September, 2024.
Our meetings vary in date and location so please always check the most recent Skagit Spinners Newsletter for current information. It contains information about meetings, other fiber-related events in the area, spinning equipment for sale, spinning projects, and other spinning-related items.
All meetings are free and open to the public. Skagit Valley Weavers' Guild membership is required only if you want to check out SVWG library books or equipment.
Please email spinners@skagitweaversguild.org for more information or to be added to our monthly newsletter mailing list.
