CAMEL (Creative Approach to Mobile Education Loom)

The CAMEL project is available to all members. The CAMEL Herder warps up a challenge project intended to introduce members to new weaving techniques, patterns, materials, or looms. Those who sign up get the loom for one week to work on their piece, then pass it along to the next person. So far we have had an opportunity to weave on every style of loom in the Guild’s library, try double weave pick up and create our own placemats for Guild potlucks. Our CAMEL Herder is Molly Gerhard. We are currently( March 2025) getting the CAMEL set up with inkle weaving. Molly and a couple of Guild members are warping the loom and we will begin passing around week by week to those who are interested in trying out this form of weaving. It's lots of fun and Molly's instruction manual that comes with it is amazing!
